At Seamo we are building Ocean Intelligence by harnessing AI for understanding everything that is in the ocean, so far we have developed algorithms for species identification, ocean trash classification and coral reef health assessment, we have tested this models with opensourced data but we now want to start collecting and building our own datasets focused on the global south as this region has limited marine experts and the waster are very much unknown. Our AI aids in the analysis of underwater footage reducing analysis times from 5 days to just an hour and reducing the cost, this accelerates ocean exploration and enables marine experts perform their work faster.
